A great gem of wisdom is: The key to life is how well you deal with Plan B. As we look at the story of Job, we can see how Job’s Plan A did not work out the way he wanted. We see his struggles, doubts, angers and fears as he wrestled with a world that no longer made sense. In the text for Remembrance Sunday, we will hear Job begin to develop a Plan B for the rest of his earthly life.

This Sunday, we gather in worship for the special purpose of remembering church members and other loves ones who have passed over from this life during the past year. It is to remember those whose lives have been turned upside down by the passing of a loved one. It is to offer love and support to those whose lives have moved from plan A to plan B, and in some cases perhaps even to Plan C, D, and E.
