Remnant Revival, Faithful God

Preacher:
Series:
Passage: Nehemiah 3:1-8 (NIV)
Service Type:

Kevin continued his series on Nehemiah’s story, focusing on how the people of Jerusalem worked together to rebuild the wall and restore their identity and purpose as God’s chosen people. He explained that while physical safety was important, the deeper brokenness was the loss of identity and purpose that came with destroyed walls and gates, making the people tempted to leave Jerusalem. Kevin highlighted several key insights from Nehemiah 3: the need for all members of the remnant body to embrace their call to ministry regardless of skill level, the importance of people from surrounding areas helping even when the work didn’t directly benefit them, and how rebuilding required coordination between different groups working on various sections of the wall. He connected these biblical principles to the current situation at Crestview and Grace churches, emphasizing that revival is possible when followers come together in unity, using their unique gifts and abilities to build a spiritual house that shows others the goodness of God and fulfills Jesus’s prayer for his followers to be one.
